2 Days, no injuries.
Saturday and Sunday went off without a hitch. No injuries and part of that could be due to me not consuming any alcohol at the baseball game Saturday night. One pop fly came right towards me and Debra and her new friend (the park's GM) laughed because I think I overreacted a bit. I explained my luck with things flying towards me and they seemed to understand. I baked and didn't burn my hand! I walked around barefoot in the backyard and didn't step on any pointy little bits of stuff that falls from the trees and sticks in my feet like little bastard porcupines. I even shaved and didn't nick myself.
Not much else to report. Work sucks. I'll be in LA in 19 days and will miss all the hard labor. Shhh, don't tell anyone at work! And supposedly the movers will be meeting me back at home on August 6th. I can't believe I'm going to be responsible for that. Ugh. What's the protocol? Do I order pizzas or sandwiches? I don't tip them, right? I really hope they don't come early. I don't want my poor grandmother to have to deal with it.

Let's hear it for being puncture-wound free! Hip hip hooray!
I'm so excited for you getting to take that trip in a few weeks. Have you already planned what you'll be doing while you're there?
My parents always bought the movers lunch (usually pizza) but I don't know if they tipped them. And don't worry, I don't think movers ever show up early.
My sister now works in LA, so if you are looking for a lunch date or something, give her a call :)
You are supposed to tip the movers - apparently enough for each of them to get a lunch between $5 - $10 mover. Hope all is well. I am so sorry that I haven't called you back, but I find that I go to bed as soon as I get home from work anymore. A month and half left to go before popping the kid out but my goodness have I found this last week just exhausting. The humidty stinks and I am afraid to look at my electric bill next month.
Yay for having a no-injury weekend. :)
Rob used to work as a mover and people did tip them, or at least provide lunch. Of course there were people who didn't even offer them water, and I think they might have found some of their stuff "accidently" got dropped.
