Oops, he did it again...

Dad talked to Kim Delaney on his flight back to Charleston. She was on both flights from LA to Charlotte and Charlotte to Charleston. He has a crush on her so at Charlotte he said 'Hi, big fan, yada yada' and started to walk away. She stopped him and asked his name and they talked for at least 30 minutes. Dad said he kept trying to end the conversation but she kept chatting. At the end he said, "You're so approachable." She replied, "The acting thing is just a job." Ok, sure, she's not a famous actress but she's recognizeable and I really admired that she said that.

Anyway I was under the weather yesterday and didn't get to post about the Oscars. I really did enjoy elements of the show and thought Ellen did a great job but the self-congratulatory tone for the whole evening got soooooo annoying. How many montages do we need to see? Yes, writers are important. Yes, foreign films are interesting. But they just went on and on and on about how awesome movie making is. This is an awards show where you're already celebrating yourselves, let's leave it at that. Leave the montages for the specials on Bravo or A&E.

The dresses were fun though and that's really what it's about. Well that and my menu. I made brie en croute. It was goooood.

I remember Kim Delaney! She was on NYPD Blue, right? I always thought she had very pretty hair.

Yup, she was on NYPD Blue. She's filming a new show called Army Wives here with Catherine Bell which dad found out after he said his daughter used to work on JAG. Somehow they got talking about Studio 60 being cancelled and dad said I told him last week and Kim said she just found out. My dad was kind enough to phrase it that I have a knack of finding things out and not that I have nothing better to do then read stuff on the internet.
