Moooo, eh?
It's the subtle differences that matter most. For instance, their milk comes in a bag. They have tire stores that sell much more than tires. Their chipmunks are cheekier than ours but I'll tell you about that in a moment.
I had a good but busy time in Canada this past weekend. It was beautiful weather and we were really able to enjoy it. We ran a lot of errands and visited with a lot of people. Ash, my friend has an uncle who was very similar to your Uncle Lex. I guess we all have an Uncle Lex or in this case, Uncle John.
My dress had some issues but people said it was lovely and the wardrobe malfunction that could have happened didn't so that was good. I had to give a toast and I can't even tell you what I said. We played some fun games (wedding MadLibs, etc.) and there were some emotional speeches made. Overall it was a great time.
As we left very early on Sunday, we noticed that one of the cakes from the wedding (there was quite a selection) had all the chocolate dipped strawberries eaten off of it and there was a large hole in the window screen just above it. I guess some cheeky chipmunk got a whiff of those yummy strawberries and decided that he NEEDED cake. That's one determined chipmunk.
We were in Port Sydney which appears to be between Stephenson and Brunel. I circled it in purple. This was their version of Memorial Day weekend so a lot of people go up here to open their cabins for the summer.

I can't get past the Canadian Tire front page. Is there a good Canadian zip code to enter in there?
I'm glad you had such a good time in Canada! The wedding sounds great, and I'm impressed that there was a selection of cakes. Mmm, that is genius.

Ann, try P0B 1L0 (those are zeros not the letter O). I tried to link to a page inside so you wouldn't have to worry about a postal code. I can't stand sites that don't let you in without a postal code.
They had 2 kinds of pie, cheesecake and a strawberry layer cake (which the chipmunk preferred) and the wedding cake. Oh and dinner was good too.
Mmm, what kind of pies? And what was for dinner?
I checked out that store. That's amazing! It looks more like a nice Walmart than a tire store.
Apparently Canadian Tire is bigger than Home Depot up there. It really does look like an all purpose store but the name is very misleading. Those Canadians can be shifty!
There was a multi-fruit pie and an apple pie I think. Hold onto your seat but I didn't have dessert. I took a bite of my friend's cake but that was about it.
Dinner was 2 kinds of salad (caesar & a spring mix) pasta with chicken (YUM!!!) roast beef with Muskoka mushroom gravy, roasted potatoes, and julienned veggies. Very nice. Muskoka was the region we were in. Oh and her parents served wine they bottled themselves!
Those crazy Canadians with their milk in a bag! That was very confusing to us when we moved up there when I was younger.
That dinner sounds wonderful. Yes, please to explain the milk in a bag. Is it like a Capri Sun?
When I was there, you bought a special pitcher that fit the milk bags perfectly (1 liter bags I think) and then you just cut the corner off of the bag. At that point, they didn't seem concerned with the bag being sealed...
That's exactly how they had their milk. It comes in a big bag and they just fill the smaller bag that sits in the pitcher.
