Tina Fey is my hero!

I watched an hour of the Emmys last night and I thought Seacrest did fine. I liked a lot of the dresses too but there were a few missteps. I FauxVo'd the entire show and will watch it tonight. From the recaps I'm seeing this morning, it almost looked like an entertaining show. Though I'm hearing they edited some people's speeches. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to find out that 30 Rock won for best comedy series. Of course I always want The Office to win but if they're going to lose to 30 Rock then I'm ok with that.

I've been making a point to wash my face more and take better care of my skin. So I think I'm being punished because I'm breaking out more. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

I've got on a favorite pair of shoes. They make my feet look small but they also hurt when I'm not sitting down. I'm going to lunch with one of the adjuncts today and will resort to putting on my flip flops to walk across campus. I'm a wuss.

That was so cool that 30 Rock won best comedy! Did Alec Baldwin win, too? I think he's awesome on that show. I'm just glad The Sopranos is finally off the air so something else can win best drama for a while. Geesh.

No, um Ricky Gervais won for best male in a comedy but apparently Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert decided to give it to Steve Carell instead. It looked pretty funny.

What was Ricky Gervais nominated for? I didn't know he was in a tv show this year. I read online that Steve Carell won that award. I'm so confused!

I think Steve accepted it but I'm pretty sure Ricky won. He was in a show called "Extras" on HBO. It's hysterical but not a lot of people get to see it.

Ahh, HBO--not having it makes watching the Emmys very difficult.

I swear, I went on yahoo news this morning and they listed Steve Carell as the winner of that award. It sounds like they actually fooled people!

Extras is a really funny show - I netflixed it. The second season was pretty short though.

Did you like David Bowie's song, "Little Fat Man"?

That was painfully funny, and embarrassing.

Ricky Gervais is really the king of painfully funny. My two favorite episodes were the Orlando Bloom and the Harry Potter kid.
