There's always room for...
So on this diet I can eat as much sugar free Jell-O as I want. No carbs, baby! Now I get to have fun with trying to find fruit flavors to mix together. Good folks at Jell-O, forgive me for this, but a lot of the red colored ones taste the same to me. I can't tell the difference between strawberry, cherry, raspberry, black cherry, mixed fruit, etc. Last night's Jell-O was a refreshing mix of lemon and lime. That was tasty! I'm wondering if cherry and lime would remind me of a delicious cherry-limeaide at Sonic. I'd like to think that strawberry and lemon would be as delightful as a strawberry lemonade which happens to be one of my favorite drinks, especially when there's real bits of strawberry floating in the glass.
It'd be nice if they made some of the fun, non-sugar free flavors (strawberry daquiri, pina colada, margarita) but for now this is sufficient. Wow, I bet some of those alcoholic flavors would make GREAT Jell-O shots. Hmmmmm...

Do you remember the bowl of "jello shots" that wouldn't gel???
For the life of me, I have no idea how to make successful jello shots. I think it requires a degree in chemistry.
Nah! You don't need a degree in chemistry. I was making those in high school and I was usually already drunk when I made them. Er, um, what? I didn't drink in high school!
To make successful Jell-O shots, use the boiling water as recommended and substitute vodka for the cold water (vodka works best). Katie, were we using vodka? I would guess that rum or something like that wouldn't set well. If you're a lighter drinker you can do half vodka and half cold water instead of all vodka. But where's the fun in that?
I think the problem was that we tried to make a bowl of it instead of "shots" and maybe too much vodka???? haha!
There is a distinct possibility that we (read: I) went overboard with the liquor. No wonder it didn't set. I was such a lush.
