Good times, good times

I seem to love being excited about things more than the things themselves. Does that make sense? I'm excited about seeing HP6 on Friday. I'm super, insanely excited about Geekfest next week. And I'm excited about my classes ending. HP6 will be great, I'm sure of it. But the excitement will fade the minute the lights go down. Geekfest will be good but there will be plenty of bad with it as well. So as soon as I'm in my first 2-hour line to get into a large room to see clips from upcoming movies, that excitement will slip away quickly. The school thing will last a bit longer. I have to get through a presentation tomorrow night and I HATE getting up in front of people to talk. Once that's over the rest of the semester should go pretty smoothly. But the excitement of having a master's degree cannot compare to the excitement of never having to take another class ever again.

I know, the anticipation of things is often way better than the thing itself. I try to tell myself to "live in the now," but that can be really boring.

My face is all flushed in anticipation of our presentation tonight. My part is the shortest and I'm still freaked out.
