Long time no, uh, write

I haven't had too much to say lately so I have been avoiding my blog. This was supposed to be about my journey to and in South Carolina. I guess that's what I was doing. I just haven't noticed much around me that seemed worthy of sharing. We had actual snow last weekend and that was fun even though I didn't get a snow day from it. We had an accumulation of around 6 inches in Summerville which is pretty rare. So that was cool.

Last night I went to see one of my favorite bands at one of my favorite venues here in Charleston. We had a great time and the band was as excellent as ever. Towards the end of the night I looked around and noticed that I was in a sea of white people. There was an Asian guy near me but he seemed to be the only person of color not working the door. Granted the music we heard last night probably mostly appeals to persons of Anglo-Saxon heritage. I guess if they do have fans of color they're probably located in the bigger cities. Though thinking back to the other two shows I saw (LA and San Diego) the people there were mostly white too. Huh.
