It's a bit nipply out there...
Yesterday, when I walked my dog, it was 65 degrees outside. Today it was 45. There was a point during the winter when 45 degrees wouldn't have affected me. For some reason it felt like 25 today. My grandmother has noticed that cold here isn't like cold up north. It can be 30 degrees in both places but it just automatically feels warmer here.
My friend Amanda is coming to visit and for a while the weather was going to be cool but sunny. Now, not so much. It's supposed to rain the days I had planned on doing all the outdoorsy/touristy stuff. Bummer. I think she even bought a new bathing suit. Maybe she was the one who jinxed it. I'm just excited that I get two days off of work. There's this incredibly annoying guy at work who is retiring at the end of the month and we're all kind of keeping track. He's taking two days off so it's down to 10 working days. Plus I'm taking two days off so that's only 8 days that I have to see him. Debra from Protocol is taking 3 days off. Lucky.
On an unrelated note, I read that they're closer to allowing cell phone service on airplanes. That's the day I stop traveling. Ok, not really but that's the day I'll officially hate taking flights anywhere. I remember how bad it was on the train to work every day. People going on and on so that everyone knows their business. I even heard one girl pleading with someone on the phone to say that they loved her. "Why won't you say it? Pleeeeease just say you love me" she squealed inbetween the tears. It's such a bad idea.

It's amazing to me, too, how little people censor themselves when they're on a cell phone in a public place. I think a lot of people still think the reception isn't good, so they'll just scream everything they're saying. Geesh.
well, one of the airlines just announced that they are going to start charging $15 more for seats with more legroom... maybe you should have to pay more if everyone is going to have to listen to you scream your personal conversations.
I remember back in the day when I could fly from Rochester to home for $100 and they just threw food and pillows at you. Those were the days...10 years ago. Wow. I am so old!
