Kierkegaard is my homeboy
I'm a Christian AND an existentialist. It feels good. During class last night I wrote out a witty blog entry and now I can't find it. Oh well, you'll just have to trust me on this.
Anywho, if you're home in time to watch Wheel of Fortune, tonight's episode features a campus favorite, Cadet Schmid. He's good looking and incredibly smart. Oh and he's got the best smile with the greatest dimples. He's worth a look and I think he wins. Oops, did I spoil it?

How in the world can you be Christian and an existentialist? That don't make no sense! :)
I'll try to watch Wheel tonight to see your cadet. Do you know if he won or do you not want to spoil the surprise for us?
I just read the link. Interesting. It doesn't sound like you could be a literal reader of the Bible and be a Christian Existentialist, but that's a cool way of looking at it. I think a lot of the preachers on tv would think Kierkegaard is a big hippie.
I'm sure they would. But that would prove his point. It's too easy to get wrapped up in the politics and judgemental aspect of today's organized religion. These TV evangelists have gotten pretty far away from the point.
And I think the Bible is still an integral part. "An existential reading of the Bible demands that the reader recognize that he is an existing subject studying the words God communicates to him personally."
Whoa. this is deep today.
I can't wait to watch Wheel tonight, Cadet Schmid is a really nice guy. The cadet on last night seemed really nice but he lost, darnit.
Yeah, I can't handle this deep stuff while I'm at work. The fluff is much easier to keep up with- ha!
Geeky guys covered in ice cream? This line of comments went from cerebral to dirty real quick. Heh heh. I like it!
try not to laugh out loud, or Wanda might shhh you! :)
I saw your cadet on tv last night. He is a cutie! I noticed the dimples right away.
Kierkegaard's not bad himself.
