Relatively uneventful

So we got maybe 2 dozen kids last night. We had a lot of candy left so I brought some in to work. My favorite costume was this 3 year old boy in a Superman suit that was actually bulging with muscles. Too cute. The coolest thing was one guy had hooked up a big trailer to the back of his truck, put hay all over it and was driving kids around the neighborhood. But explain to me about the parents who were driving their kids around. They'd pull up to a house, the kid would get out, they'd then go a few houses down and wait for the kid. There was one mom who was just slowly driving along with her hazards on while her son was walking along side the car. Could she seriously not get out of the car to walk with him?

Our street was like a parking lot last night, too. This is definitely a new trend with the parents following alongside in the car. I assume some of them are from different neighborhoods, but not all. When we go trick-or-treating with Lil'J, we'll actually walk with him. That's the fun way to do it.

It's not fun if you're not tired of carrying your bag full of goodies at the end of the night.

Oh and the girl who lives next door came over to show us her loot. Someone was handing out cans of YooHoo and someone else was giving out old kids meal toys. People crack me up.

YooHoo? Really? That's not candy. All the kids who came to our house had a magazine in their bag, and I was trying to figure out where they were all getting this magazine. People really are weird.

the trick or treating hay ride sounds cool.

We only ever got driven around if it was raining.

You know, my Mom and Dad didn't even drive us around if it was raining! They made us put on rain coats over our costumes. I think they were trying to build our character or something. Hmph.
