Hello. My name is Alisa

and I am an Olympics freak. However, by the middle of week two I do start to get a little tired of it. But for now, I'm so excited about the opening ceremonies tonight. I think I'm so enthralled with this Olympics because of China. I'm really curious about China. I'm really curious as to how much of the real China we'll get to see. Oh and if anyone ever sees a replica of the stadium (aka the Bird's Nest) being sold somewhere, let me know. I'd love to have something like that as a flower vase or candle holder or something.

I know, right? I love that stupid building. I even watched the special National Geographic aired about how they built it.

Oh, so get this. I don't think my favorite Ninja Warrior contestant, Shunsuke Nagasaki, will be competing in the Olympics this year. I can't find him amongst the Japanese athletes! He's like the Asian world champion on the trampoline. Weird.

Instead I'll be rooting for this guy.

Apparently his mom was a Romanian (Wikipedia says Hungarian) javelin thrower so you know she wasn't a wilting flower of a woman.

I too like the Olympics! But am not an avid watcher of them. But always a fan of the ceremonies, but seriously... the opening ceremonies are over 4 hours long! We Tivo'd it and are only in 2 1/2 hours into it!
