Somebody has a case of the Mondays!
Traffic has gotten noticeably worse after the time change. I noticed that in LA too. I wonder what that is. So now I have to get on the road earlier than I already do which isn't going to be fun. And the fantastic news (heavy sarcasm) is that they've got lots and lots of houses that they're building in the next few years. YAY!!! There are three main roads leading into downtown Charleston and only one of those is a highway. And that highway is already packed by 6:30am. What the heck is going to happen with the traffic?

Yikes! That's crazy that the highway is already jammed at 6:30. Definitely sounds like they need more access into downtown. Maybe you should start driving a boat to work?
How fun would it be to take a boat or water taxi to work?? The traffic getting into downtown Chas is the number 1 reason we decided not to buy a house in S'ville. We really like that area and you can get more house for the $$ but that commute! What happened to the light rail idea using the existing train tracks?
I've been dreaming of a light rail system in Columbus ever since I moved here. I would love that. And it sounds like Charleston could really, really use one. You guys should start a petition!
There was a big article in the Post and Courier about it a few months ago...the tracks are already there which would make it so much easier and yes, it would have stops at various points downtown and would run basically from where you live to downtown. I haven't heard anything about it in awhile, but the idea is out there! Charlotte is finally doing it!
