Welcome to "El Cid", bitch!

I'm really enjoying my job and not just because I get to drive a golf cart (aka Trigger). I am fine with the women in my office though after a week and a half I already have them figured out. I don't get to talk to many of the cadets which is probably for the best. NOT THAT I CAN'T BE TRUSTED!!! But the ones I have met I really, really like. They're all seniors and they're such great guys. I'm looking forward to meeting some of the girls to see what they're like. I do already have a crush on one guy. I was feeling a bit guilty until I found out he's 25 or 26. Then I breathed a sigh of relief and knew I could continue my crush guilt free.

Anyway the cadets call the school El Cid which I really like. But nobody has called me a bitch and I doubt that will happen any time soon.

I'm moving to the next town over soon. I'm excited about that because my roommate (and landlord) has a big screen TV. I walked in and the first words out of my mouth were, "When can I move in?"

Yay!!!

I got a job! I officially started looking in August and was offered a job yesterday. They actually took a while to initially contact me in the first place. Plus I only interviewed with them once which I thought was interesting. The other candidates must have really sucked that they were willing to go out on a limb with me. They ran a background check on me and I'd be curious what they came up with.

Ok, so the job is at the Citadel which is the military university here. The job is in the Office of the President so it'll be interesting for sure. There will be some events, some protocol, some phone calls from parents who think they need to speak with the President of the school. It's an older office so I'll young 'em down a bit.

I'm so glad that I get to stay in the area. I'll be near my grandmother when she moves into the house. Plus I can really start to settle into the area. And I'll get to hang out with Sue which has been so fun. I'm probably going to try and find a roommate situation for now. At least for a year or so and then I'll look for my own place that I can furnish. I'll be making almost half of what I was making in LA so I really need to be tight with my money. Hmmm, I wonder if I could get another job for the weekends. Something low stress but not retail. Maybe I could work at Curves on Saturdays. Then I probably wouldn't have to pay my monthly fee there. That could work.
