Getting LOST Tonight

I'm so excited I could spit! Ok, I won't but I could... Oh and I'm having the best salad ever for lunch today! This is going to be a good day.

I'm so ok with this!

Who is Your Ideal TV Boyfriend?

Sure, I was hoping it'd be Jim 'cause we all know how retarded I am for him. But honestly Chuck would be my second choice.

Best. Thing. Ever.

Do I need it? No. But I want it so bad!!! I saw it somewhere else online for like $21.99 but now I can't find it at that price again. It's so darn cute! Sur la Table has some cute ideas of how to decorate it.

I'm tempting fate

I'm wearing a white sweater and eating tomato soup. This could be very, very bad.

I don't have much to write about these days. Work is good. Class is good. Family is good. I'm sure something bad is bound to happen so I'll enjoy the good stuff right now.

It's chilly here and my toes are very cold today. Of course our low temps are probably still higher than the highs for the northern parts of the country so I'm not complaining. After living in heat (for at least 9 months out of the year) for the past 10 years I enjoy the colder weather once in a while.

$9?!?!?!

I went to our local Regal cinema to see National Treasure: Book of Secrets. The movie was fine but it was certainly not worth $9! Apparently their matinee price applies to movies before 3pm. Are all theaters like that now? I'm going to stick with the sh!tty $2.50 theater from now on. Sure the floors are a bit sticky and the chairs all seem to be broken but at least I don't have to check my bank account if I want to see a movie after 3.

So the movie was ok. I still can't get past my dislike of 'The Cage'. Plus he had noticeably absent sideburns which looked odd. After the movie we went to O'Charley's for dinner. That was great! I don't think I had ever been there. On our way out of the restaurant I notice the car parked in the handicap spot. Chanmpage colored Lexus ES with a USC license plate (the other USC) on the front. I say to Charlene, "Um, my mom and grandmother are here." I find them and we're all quite shocked that we ended up at the same restaurant at the same time. Mom says, "I was just saying to your grandmother that you'd like this place." I reply, "I just was saying the same thing to Charlene about you guys." Small world.

"I'm no freakin monument to justice!"

Has anyone seen National Treasure 2? I actually never saw the first one due to my profound dislike of all things Cage. I have been convinced to go to see #2 this weekend with a friend and was wondering if there's anything I could use as an argument against it.

Also, do you ever get the feeling you're being talked about? We have some professors here interviewing for open positions in the department. I was introduced to the current candidate a few minutes ago. She responded by saying, "You're the one from Philly, right?" Um...yeah. Before this morning she had dinner with two professors last night and one professor for breakfast. I'm guessing in one of the conversations she said she was from Philly and one of the professors involved said, "Our department secretary, Alisa, is from Philly." Actually I'm sure it was more like, "Our outstanding, dedicated secretary, Alisa, without whom we could not function, is also from Philly." Heh.

"Texas Baby-stealer Hair"

My grandmother, who was on hydrocodone last night, told me that my hair looked like those women in movies who steal babies and are from Texas or somewhere like that. Drugs are fun, especially when you're almost 82 years old.

And the winner is...

I actually kind of liked last night's Golden Globes. I missed the dresses for sure but I liked being able to watch it in like 20 minutes. I think there's a way to do an awards show in an hour.

1. First give us a few hours of red carpet on E!
2. Have one host/presenter announce the awards.
3. Show the nominees at each of their tables/seats in that split screen they love so much.
4. Announce the winner, then the camera cuts to them as they stand at their seat nod to the camera and sit their butt back in their seat. We don't need to hear them acknowledge the other nominees, the cast & crew, their agent/manager/PR person, or spouse who they're probably divorcing soon anyway.
5. Leave out the "jokes" and dance numbers.
6. Still show the montage of those who passed away but we don't need the endless salutes to movies over the years. All that self-congratulatory BS is annoying and needless.
7. Wrap it up and let us get to bed. Some of us have actual work the next day.

And completely off topic, I'm loving the teams in the AFC and NFC playoffs. Of course I'm always happy when the Cowboys screw up. I'm rooting for you, "other Manning"!!!

Legen...wait for it...dary...LEGENDARY!!!

For those of us who enjoy How I Met Your Mother, I give you...The Slap Bet tee shirt

Also check out the Robin Sparkles Mall Tour tee. Lastly, my favorite prank on The Office. Those Glarkware people rock because they watch the same shows that I watch. Awesome.
